These computer files cover every aspect of the construction process, from layout points to pillar construction, flooring and roofing. These files can then be plugged in to a data collector, allowing the contractor to view the land where the new building will go while looking at a three-dimensional rendering at the same time. The data collector can even direct the contractor to specific points, like the corners of the building or where concrete pillars will be located.

These modern technologies have made concrete construction deisgn much more efficient than it was a few decades ago, when contractors were forced to rely on blueprints and, in some cases, estimations to start the building process. This resulted in a number of industrial concrete construction projects running over the scheduled time and greatly exceeding budget. With the implementation of these new methods, industrial concrete construction is more efficient and cheaper than ever before.
