A construction management association is a group intended to support and promote the growth and acceptance of construction management as a professional discipline. Construction management associations are beginning to be founded around the world, but the largest and best known is the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).

As the world's leading construction management association, the CMAA has a membership of more than 5000 individuals and firms. Their members include owners, engineers, architects, contractors, educators and students. Each member of a construction management association receives the latest information on construction management developments and trends, as well as job leads. A portion of the dues paid by members of the CMAA goes towards these lobbying efforts on the assumption that they will support the construction management profession in the long term.
