New Home Construction Cleaning

New home construction cleaning is a process that begins early in the construction process and continues all the way through completion. While some home construction companies due the new home construction cleaning on their own, others contract with cleaning companies to do the work for them.

There are many steps to new home construction cleaning that might get overlooked to the regular observer but will certainly be found by a new home owner if they aren't taken care of. If a cleaner is not properly equipped with the right equipment, which includes industrial vacuums and power washers, they will not be able to do the job effectively.

One of the first steps in new home construction cleaning is taking care of the visible areas around the windows. With an industrial vacuum, the window tracks must be cleaned out and the window frames and sills cleaned off. If there is any plastic coverings or sticker labels on the windows, they must be completely removed.

Another step requires the removing of new drawers to vacuum up sawdust from behind them, and vacuuming up any dust in the cupboards, pantries and spaces in between the drawers. The counters and other visible surfaces of the kitchen must also be cleaned with a heavy cleaning solution. In the bathroom, any remaining plastic must be removed, the sinks, bathtubs and toilets sanitized and the polished. The mirrors must also be cleaned.

All tile floors, primarily in the kitchen and bathrooms (and possibly the living room) must be mopped with an industrial cleaner in order to get off any mud or dust tracked in to the house during the construction process. If there are any carpets, they must be vacuumed thoroughly.

Dusting the chandeliers and light fixtures is another necessary step. An industrial vacuum can be used to vacuum the insides of sconce-type lights. One the hardwood floors (if there are any) are cleaned with a mop, a power washer should be used to clean out the garage, the entryway and any concrete areas out in the back yard.
