Refined Butane

Just like how, gasoline is a byproduct element of crude black oil; refined butane is a gaseous element of natural gas. You can produce butane from crude oil. However, however, it only comes out in small quantities.

Butane's Chemical Formula is C4H10. For those who are chemistry-clueless that simply means that in a molecule of butane, there needs to be four carbon atoms that are surrounded by ten hydrogen atoms that are arranged in a straight even line. You can picture this molecule as a four-bodied caterpillar with ten legs. Butane, in its gas form, is actually colorless, so you cannot see butane with the naked eye. This colorless form of butane is called n-butane, which means normal-butane. N-butane is closely related to isobuteine, which is used for refrigeration.

However, like all natural gas a product, butane is extracted from as a basic source from raw natural gas. Butane is also the substance that is added to gasoline to better boost up the performance of a vehicle because it aids in creating a highly precarious product. Another use for butane is that it is the fuel used for cigarette lighters and various heating appliances.

Butane is generally mixed with propane to form a new compound called LPG also known as Liquid Propane Gas. This is what is sold as a bottled gas unit for camping stoves, outdoor gas-powered grills, and roasting grills. While it is true that propane had more power and energy than the gas butane, butane is still useful because it can have certain abilities that can help in containment. When these two materials are combined together, the average person can have a great fire but still be able to control it well.

Nonetheless, if a person tries to compress butane, it will form into a liquid extremely quickly. It is prefect if you need to have a gaseous energy source that can be carried around with you. However, one of the most dangerous aspects of butane is that in its refined form if released into the air it will become a highly flammable gas. However, unlike other raw derivatives of natural gas, butane only releases carbon dioxide as a waste product. Other natural gases derivatives gives off carbon monoxide. This is good, because CO2 is a more natural gas that can be absorbed by all plant life.

In the end, having butane is a great gas source if you need an additional energy source.
