Alternative Energy Definitions 

Alternative energy is defined in the most nonprofessionals’ language as that energy which is derived from the sources, which do not, deteriorates the natural environment. These alternative energy resources are also called the renewable energy sources. These sources of energy are used to refer any source of energy, which is projected to replace those fuel sources without compromising on the basic properties of the fuel.

In other words it is the energy which is obtained from any other source other than the fossil fuels (which at present are depleting by a fast pace.)

Today the world is looking for other sources of energy, which are renewable in nature and at the same time, do not pollute the environment. Today the most gravest of the problem faced by the mankind is the climate change and the root cause of this problem is none other than the pollution caused by burning of the fossil fuel for meeting the requirements of energy.

Therefore, the buzzword of today is none other than ALTERNATIVE ENERGY. This alternative energy or the renewable energy encompasses in itself a wider concept of energies like wind energy, tidal energy, bio fuel, solar energy, and geothermal energy.

Renewable energy or the alternative energy is derived from the natural resources provided by the nature to the human race. These sources include nuclear energy, geothermal energy or the biomass for the generation of the much-required energy. This energy was utilized for more than thousands of years and now has become the savior for energy usage. The wind energy has been used majorly by our forefathers for sailing across the world.

The alternative energy includes the hydro energy, which in turn includes wave energy and the tidal energy. It is the cleanest and the most powerful form of the energy, which can be used for generating electricity.

The geothermal energy is one the most reliable form of the energy, which can be utilized as a great source for heating purposes. They can also be used as power stations.

The biomass can easily be used for generating the energy in a cleaner way than the most fossil fuels like coal and oil. Actually, bio mass produces sulphur dioxide during production of electricity.

The most abundantly available source of energy is the solar energy, which is not only the cleanest way to produce energy, but at the same time, it is the most promising form of the energy for the future.
