It generally refers to sources like sun, wind and water for energy generation or otherwise called green energy. At home, the most applicable of these sources is the solar energy. It entails installing of solar panels at convenient places, and there you will have your energy. It works together with chemical storage for use during the night. The significance of this is not only seen in controlling pollution but it also serves as a cheap source of energy. The initial installation may be costly but the advantages in the afterlife are worth taking the chance to invest on them. It does not need constant supervision. Servicing and maintenance is done regularly and does not need expertise in technical operation.

The type of alternative energy for home use will definitely depend with your locale. Desert-like sunny places will have sun as the suitable installation whereas in windy regions, wind energy systems will do for your energy needs.
