Care should be taken that we need to take the initiative to try and save how much ever we can as we must leave some for our children and their children when we use these different kinds of energy sources. The suppliers of these kinds of energy must take to heed that they do not create any problems short or long term based. While generating energy Governments of different countries should make sure it is done with safety. Our fragile environment and the people of the world need to be protected from harm. To fulfill this alternative energy international is gaining prominence.

Burning of coal sends many pollutants into the air, water and soil. Carbon dioxide is the most harmful of the lot. Oil burning is more in the form of gasoline in the car and air pollution along with global warming are harmful supplements of the same. Cost of oil is also increasing and it is draining the foreign reserves of the most countries buying oil to meet their demands. Nuclear energy does not pollute but it produces radioactive by product which is very dangerous and even today its proper disposal is being invented.

Alternative and renewable energy sources, such as solar power, geothermal energy, wind power, tidal power, and hydroelectric power, are being studied and tried as possible future replacements. Technology is being researched and developed, to fully maximize their efficiency as clean and reliable source of alternative energy internationally. The production of energy has evolved over the years. The growth in population has polluted the environment without doubt. The switch to best form of alternative energy use is best determined considering the geographical location. The most effective alternative energy source in use today is the solar energy. It is very effective in places where the sun is always shining like countries near the equator. The Earth receives a continuous amount of solar energy on a daily basis. 

As research advances, the future looks bright for solar energy. Energy developed from the blowing of the wind is another alternative energy being put to use. Using wind power to turn turbines to generate electricity works well in countries having windy areas, but may not work in other areas that record less windy conditions. Another form of the alternative energy usage for emerging countries is the hydro-power. This technology uses the power of rivers to run generators. The cost of the infrastructure setup and transmission of power to the people from the generator may be a factor to be considered for long range use.
