It is necessary to have alternative energy primarily to reduce the reliance on fossil fuel for global needs. Hence, coal, natural gas and oil are not in demand. It will also be good for mutual funds that are socially responsible, which invest in businesses that are good to the environment.

Alterative energy companies like solar power cells or wind farms are smaller are the low lying companies when it comes to the green sector, nevertheless they are good players when it comes to investment potential.
