Biomass Renewable Energy
Biomass is the source of generating energy that is known to man since a long time. In fact before the modern techniques were introduced this was the way to generate energy. Its invention dates back to the time of the invention of the fire. Right after the invention of the fire, man started using the biomass for cooking. We will see what the biomass renewable biomass energy is. Biological mass is popularly known as the biogas. Everything that grows and lives consist of the biogas this does not include the natural gases, coal etc. Organisms, which were buried and decayed, under the surface of the earth from the centuries, resulted in the fossil fuels. This fact however does not make them compatible to be included in the biomass.
Biowaste, straw, wood chips, organic slurries and waste paper are some of the forms that the biomass takes up. It usually happens after the livestock forming, the foodstuffs, chicken litter, sewage treatment etc are processed. These are just a few any person can just process some of the similar things that he comes across and use the same to generate the energy. They derive the energy that was in store in the carbon chemistry in them when these had life. They extracted the same energy from the sun. The processing releases the same energy that was stored and this can then be utilized by man to meet his energy requirements. This will also further not add to the carbon dioxide content in the atmosphere.
Even as the crop fuel, the same biomass can be used. If one decides to grow the biomass to be used as the fuel then there are these following things that one needs to note.
1. The calorific value should be high. It means that when they will be heated they should release a lot of energy.
2. You should select the crops that will grow fast
3. The water requirement should also be as low as possible.
4. The power that they will require while growing should also be low as possible.
5. In order to release the energy from them and make it available for our use we should select the crops that require less fermentation.
The only disadvantage that this will result is that undertaking the biomass production for producing the fuels out of them will considerably reduce the land that is available for the growing of food grains.
