Definition Of Solar Energy

Solar energy is one of the alternative renewable energy. It is a type of energy with no limit in supply, which can be used continuously without afraid of running out. Solar energy is an energy harvested from the sun that produces electricity from a form of solar radiation. We all know that solar energy is an essential energy to all lives on earth, and with this form of energy, we will be able to produce another type of energy that is known as electricity. The solar electricity is also known to be one of the cleanest renewable energy around. However, like many of the natural harvested energy, it is greatly depended on the condition of the surrounding environment.

It is also helpful to understand that the energy harvested from the sun in a form of the solar radiation can be in many forms. It can either be in a form of heat or in a form of electricity. Normally the heat will be collected by the solar collectors in a form of liquid, and can be used for heating. On the other hand, the electricity collected by the solar cells is produced through the process known as photovoltaic effect. Anywhere, there is no limit on how much energy can we collect from sun until the sun burned out in some millions to billions years from now.

Even though there is no limit to how much energy can be harvested from the sun, but it is still not a reliable since harvesting the solar energy is greatly depended on the conditions of the environment. During the raining day or at night when there is no sun, then there is no solar energy to be harvested. However, since it is unpredictable on when the solar energy can be harvested, with modern technology, we will be able to restore all of the extra harvested solar energy for the period when the solar power is not available such as during the night or raining day.

Indeed solar energy is one of the amazing alternative renewable energy since it is limitless until the sun burned out. In fact, with the help of technology, we will not need to worry where to harvest the solar energy when solar power is not available during nighttime and raining day.
