In energy management, the usage of electricity is a vital role to understand and control. Electricity is generated through nuclear, solar, hydropower and wind power in fast growing economies today. The demand of increasing population and the appliances, which run on electricity, are also growing in double-digit numbers.

More and clever inventions are changing the use of traditional items into electric power and cost effective appliances.  Efficient factories and labor are favoring the large economies of scale.  With the power of advertisement and fast reach of internet, the inventions and their advantages are fast reaching the common person. The electrical energy management is gaining prominence in the midst of this growing demand. How much electricity will be available to my next generation is a question, which fears the most of the intelligent minds today. The rising cost of electricity usage and recession in economy is also a cause of concern. Generation of electricity from natural resources is being relooked and strategies are being devised to bring in newer sources of energy to use.

The use of solar technology in tropical areas and use of wind power in strategic geographical locations are being advocated to build effective energy utilization. Even organizations are becoming socially responsible to using electricity. Employees are educated and trained to switch off the electrical switches and computer system after the close of office hours. Curtailing the use of electricity sensibly without affecting the morale of the employees is also undertaken. The use of air conditioner in colder locations is a waste of energy and not good for the human beings working under the roof. If you take the life of the appliances into consideration, their efficient use also increases their durability and sustainability.  The utility costs add to saving finances for the organization.

This results in distributing rich dividends to shareholders and employees. Even using standby power instruments like inventor for use with printers, fax machines reduce the use of energy drastically. Practices should be implemented not only in major work area but electrical energy management should also be driven in isolated areas of the office. Such areas are cafeteria, mailroom, service rooms and rest rooms. There are also tried and tested practices available in printed form and online which can be read and implemented without much hassle. Do not get worried about the cost. Saving energy will definitely save money in the future.
