Generate Solar Energy
The sun is the ultimate source of the world’s energy. The sun provides the earth with light and heat. The earth bathes in the steady and massive flow of radiant energy from the sun which exceeds the requirements of the world. To generate solar energy, the natural resources of the earth need not be depleted or compromised.
The solar energy is also a continuous form of renewable energy. The primary source of renewable energy for the world today is solar energy. Today technologies are being developed to generate solar energy into electricity. This energy is very economical to consume and once installed at home is free for consumption without limits. Two technological approaches to generate solar energy are photovoltaic and solar thermal technologies. The first form of technology is the solar-thermal technology.
A traditional electricity generating technology that works on using the heat of the sun to generate steam and power the electric generator. The use of reflectors is made to concentrate sunlight to heat oil. This in turn creates steam to drive a standard turbine generator. The photovoltaic are also known as solar cells and are small square shaped semi-conductors. When sunlight hits the solar cells, chemical reaction releases electrons which generate electric energy. The small electric current from individual PV cells can be installed in modules. This helps in powering individual homes and businesses. They can also be used to plug into the bulk electricity grid. The larger the solar cells, more electricity can be produced to run larger appliances.
The solar cells can be heavy and expensive to build. But mass usage has helped in bringing the costs down. Today solar cells packed with an instructional manual are already seen on roofs of independent houses. Thousands of people have already benefited from low electricity bills. More electricity is produced when the sun is shining very brightly. In tropical areas and countries near the equator, the solar rays will be strong and work more efficiently than those near artic areas. There are no environmental issues to deal with to generate solar energy. There is no air, water or solid waste polluting the earth. Since the same can be installed on top of a building or roof of the house, even using the space on earth is not a concern. The use of water in solar thermal plants is similar to the quantity used in coal or nuclear plants.
Roughneck Definition
Australian Oil Gas Corporation
There are many different corporations and businesses that are part of the oil and gasoline industry. We take for granted how fuel gets to our service stations and homes. It's a massive operation that begins with finding the oil. The Australian Oil and Gas Corporation is one company...
