In areas where direct sunlight is got, the light energy can be captures by solar panels and can be used effectively to supply power to our homes. With the usage of batteries, this captured light energy can be stored for cloudy days and nights. 

Thermal energy also helps us in a similar way. It captures the sunlight and helps us keep our homes warm. The houses when constructed should be designed in such a way that the windows of the house receive maximum light during the daytime. In fact, even special building materials can be used to retain this heat captured. This captured heat, which is in turn stored, can be used for a wide range of things from heating water to cooking. It is completely cost effective and eco friendly too. Go green and save our environment!
