Can you imagine a place without lights? A hospital, road, park, office, restaurant, unless it has a theme related to darken. None of us can imagine a place or a day or rather even a minute without lights.  

We are all so electricity dependent these days with the use of the latest technology launched in market. Our homes today are not set like homes. We look at model homes that come in magazines and feel like creating such a classy ambience even for our homes. We spend a lot on fixtures and especially lights! 

Considering the present scenario of electro-dependency, I suggest you use low energy lights for your homes or hotels.  

Both compact and traditional Fluorescent lighting saves 75 percent electricity than incandescent bulbs. These lights last ten times more than incandescent bulbs. With fluorescent lights, you need not burn your labor in changing the bulbs too often. These lights come in varied colors and shapes and can be used with 3-way switches.  

I can also think of LED bulbs that are more cost effective than fluorescent lights. LED bulbs are now becoming very popular and are seen in many places now. The rope lights that amuse you use these LED lights. These lights are mostly used for outdoors and they are too bright for that little amount of energy they consume.  

LED lights are extremely robust and are long lasting comparatively. Greater proportion of energy it consumes gets converted into light rather than heat. This is the most special feature of LED lights. Even compared to filament lights, LED lights are the most popular among consumers for energy efficiency.  

Sodium lamps, metal halide, halogen lamps, and sun-powered lamps are other options of lighting, which consume very little energy.  

Using low energy lights are also very beneficial for the consumers. It has increased safety, lack of wastage, flexibility in design, lesser labor to change the bulbs when they die out and so on.  

Low energy lights also have lesser chances of electrical shock or fire. The adjustable feature of these lights, help you make it brighter or dimmer as you please. Using dimmer switches for your lights is something that I suggest, as you can dim or brighten the light up like the way you need it and lower the wattage of your lights. So keep in mind these tips when setting up lighting your place.
