Renewable Energy Advantages
Renewable energy sources are getting more important since fossil fuels are becoming expensive to pull out and difficult to locate. Research done by scientists emphasize that fossil fuel have caused changes in the climate because of the pollution they discharge in the environment through the process known as global warming. Natural sources for producing heat, renewable energy source and electric energy which are much cleaner to put to use compared to fossil fuels are all over the world. Renewable energy source includes human garbage, water, decomposed animal matter and decomposing plant, the sun and the wind.
Renewable energy advantages include:
Hydropower: Through Hydropower we can harness water in order to produce electricity. Water is basically heated to create steam which then is transferred into electricity. Hence hydropower is most of the times extracted as steam. It can also be accumulated as kinetic energy created by a stream of rivers. These turn the water wheels in a way which is similar to the windmills method of producing energy.
Solar:
The solar power is a very clean, renewable and easily available resource. As per the energy experts solar power could be accumulated by heating water and air with sun or else it can also be accumulated using solar cells that help in converting sun’s power to electricity.
Wind:
The wind power is again a clean source which can be accumulated using minimal space. The wind power could also make use of the land which is otherwise windy to construct upon. These windmills are not even expensive to build hence can produce a constant source of power if used in right climate.
Geothermal:
The geothermal energy is collected basically from volcanoes, geysers and hot springs. Geothermal energy could be collected wherever steam or hot gas is released through the earth’s crust deep within. Geothermal energy is a form of hydropower which acts when water is heated, producing steam which converts to electric power. Even geothermal energy has been considered as clean source because it uses the energy which is already released.
Biomass:
Biomass is basically the accumulation of all the organic matter which is converted to energy by means of fermentation or burning. According to energy department’s guide wood, renewable resources, biogas and landfill are different kinds of biomass. This biomass can either be burned to produce fuel or even converted into methane gas. Food crops like corn and sugarcane can also be fermented to produce ethanol.
