Surely, more and more people are getting aware of the cost of energy. Therefore, many of them are genuinely looking for solutions to save money in the long run. However, before you take the decision make sure that the product you choice is certified. A product that is appropriately certified is supplied by the provider easily, if the product is not certified you will have to take a chance or more of a risk. Generally, uncertified products mean it has not passed the test that is associated with certification. All companies under such circumstances will try to convince their clients by saying that it is a matter of time before they get an approved certification. But this may not always be true as the products fail the extensive testing process conducted before providing the needed certification.

Since external cladding is very important for the protection of any building, it is among the hardest products to get certified, mainly because it gets exposed to harsh weather conditions. In the absence of adequate evidence related to quality, auditors will try not to certify such a product as they would be skeptical of how the product would function when exposed for long to external climatic influences.

Of course the product could always be put through the sound tests, fire test and the water absorption tests, but nothing can compare the real test that has been in existence since 40 years.

Rules have been relaxed in case of commercial buildings in certain countries to see how new products perform. That’s the reason why the external finishes of commercial buildings vary as compared to the residential building which is provided with a traditional finish.
