The rise of energy costs and the threat of global warming are getting worse. It has been reported that the ice or glacier in Alaska and the Pacific is melting at an alarming rate. Hot weather is getting hotter. Weather is turning chaotic. Many corporations, large and small, are beginning to realize the benefits of using green technology to minimize waste to save the environment. Green technologies help to combat the threat of global warming, and help corporations save money at the same time.

Green technology, also known as renewable energy technology, is a technology that recycles waste or energy for reuse. One such green technology is the renewable energy park. Over the years, the demand for renewable energy park has steadily increased. Where possible, it takes advantage of renewable natural resources. It generates energy which can be replenished easily, such as wind, rain and sunlight. These resources are ‘free for all’, and they are a never-ending energy source as long as the sun, rain and wind are always there.

The cost of natural gas, oil, and electricity has increased over a period of time. Renewable Energy Park is cost efficient as it uses energy source that is reusable. The cost of running and operating a renewable energy park is therefore far cheaper than a park which does not use renewable energy. The initial costs of building this type of park may be high because most of the architects may not have the experience and knowledge to build it. But looking at the long term, it can be a huge savings as this type of park uses less water and energy compared to non-renewable energy park.

Air pollution has been one of the major problems in the world today. Air pollution contributes to the worsening of global warming. This is caused by the burning of fossil fuels (a non-renewable energy source), or using toxin materials for the construction of buildings. They release harmful pollutants into the air which can be hazardous to our health. Unhealthy air, when inhaled, can cause serious respiratory problems, such as asthma. Renewable Energy Park keeps people who visit the park healthier as a whole. Toxin-free materials, including paints, are used to construct the park to combat air pollution. A park that uses renewable energy is a great help in protecting our environment.
