Renewable Energy Supply

By definition renewable energy will be determined by looking at the source of the energy. Energy which is produced from oil, gas, fossil fuels is generated after the use of these very expensive resources. So by definition the energy generated from these above mentioned sources will not be called renewable energy supply. On the other hand energy generated from sunlight, wind, ocean tides, rain is termed as renewable energy because the sources of this energy can be reused over and over for the generation of energy. Earth stored heat which is called geothermal heat is another source of renewable energy supply and hydroelectricity which is electricity generated from moving water is an excellent example of renewable energy supply.

If more and more households and commercial structures opted for renewable energy supply then it would be a giant step towards conservation of energy and saving of the environment and surroundings. There have been inventions of devices like solar panels and wind turbines to convert the energy generated from these renewable sources into electric power. When these renewable sources are used for the generation of energy and thus electric power then the fear of the depletion of resources like fuel and oil need not become such a cause for worry.

Several tax benefits and other concessions are provided to households and commercial structures which use renewable energy supply. This is to encourage more people and business owners to use renewable energy for their electric needs. Employment of renewable energy supply leads to lower consumption of electricity which further leads to conservation of electricity and in-turn leads to reduced costs of electricity.

When energy has to be generated from sources such as oil and gas then these valuable resources have to be purchased from other nations. These other nations possess large supply of these resources. This is a major problem for some economically poor countries which are not able to purchase the adequate amount of these resources. If such nations resort to using more renewable energy supply then this problem of shortage of energy can be solved and the money can be put to other developmental use.

Renewable energy supply is of great use to the economy of any country due to the many savings of costs of power generation it offers. People should be made aware of the benefits of using renewable energy and they should be encouraged to use it for all their electrical needs.
