You would be amazed to see the power bill cuts that you would have just by using the solar energy over the non-renewable energy or electricity for that matter.

The major concern of using the solar energy at home initially was the installation space. These solar panels were really huge and required a real good area to be installed and be used thereafter. The good news is that over the years, the sizes of the solar panels have reduced and these can easily be planted in a relatively smaller area. However, this wouldn’t mean that these have shrunk into real small ones. Though, there are some breakthroughs like the solar chargers which are not only small but these are mobile as well. You could carry this with you and can charge your laptop and cell phone even in the remote rural areas.

With the growing awareness and promotion of technology that uses solar energy the households are looking at solar energy as a way to cut corners to start with. Further, the decreased size of the solar panels and the lowering cost of the installation, the use of solar energy at homes are encouraged. Solar energy could replace electricity consumption totally. The size of the solar panels and the consumption requirement would decide the right scale of installation. However, solar energy is extensively used in homes for cooking and heating water.
