We have used the solar energy for thousands of years for drying clothes, food or even for heating a pail of water. I am sure that it sounds much better to you that you can have 200 liters of boiling water every sunny day than that you can run a 100W light bulb for free. I am right, aren’t I?

And at the end of the article I am going to inform you about the last achievement of the high-tech- it is called a Solar Furnace. That installation consists of many small mirrors (reflectors) which concentrate the solar power in a very small place. By this method, the temperature in a solar furnace could go up to 3000 degrees Celsius which is why they are also called “solar cookers”.
