The solar energy seems to have more and more appliances and the scientists’ hard work has led to the invention of new solar energy technologies. They can be divided into three main groups: the first one is concentration of the solar power, the other one- generating electricity by using the solar power, and the third one- solar heating and respectively solar lighting. So let’s start with the concentration of solar power. That is probably the latest technology which does what some scientists found impossible- it concentrates the solar energy by thousands of small reflectors. This way the solar energy could increase up to 100 times and it would be used much more effectively.

Another technology invention lets us use electricity which is generated directly from the solar energy. It sounds cool, you must admit it! The installation can supply a household with around 40 kilowatts of electricity per day, which is really not little. Actually, this installation is already not so expensive and it costs around $10.000 which makes it affordable for most of the American families. Of course, the less wealthy countries are probably still a little bit further from that step but there is no doubt that soon that kind of solar system will be used by many people in Europe and Asia.

And the last appliance of the solar energy we are going to inform you about is the solar collectors- or said in other words “solar heating”. It is the last one in our list because you probably know everything about the solar collectors as they could be seen on most of the roofs in countries such as Greece, Portuguese, Spain and Malta for example. Of course, they are also spread in the south states of the USA such as Texas and California. The reason for the boom of solar-collector sales is their low price- a solar collector already costs between $3000 and $3500. At the same time, they do a really great job since they could heat up to 200 liters of water. You do not need to be a genius at math to calculate that solar collectors are an investment which is returned on very soon, especially if you live in a sunny region!

Those were the most spread solar energy technologies which have already gained enormous popularity all over the world. It is up to you and your financial status which one you would choose or whether you would choose any of them. However, my personal advice is to do so because they really are the future of all households in the world!
