Solar Power Wind Energy

It is time to wake up and start thinking about the alternative ways to attain power to continue with our function of our everyday life. We were most dependent on the energy generated by the burning of fossil fuels, mainly coal.

In addition, because of the indiscriminate use of such energy, our future is growing darker by the day. Not only is the coal almost completely exhausted, but also the repercussions that this has had on our environment can be very easily seen by the increase in global warming. We have one source of never ending energy, and that is the energy of the sun, Solar Energy. Even though, until today, the solar energy has not been tapped and used to the fullest, if we do not start acting upon it, we might just be a bit too late.

Another important source of energy is the wind energy. This source of energy is another source, which has great potential, but which is not utilized anywhere close to its maximum. The great electricity shortage and voltage fluctuations can be greatly concurred with the use of these alternative sources of energy.

There are the cells that are developed, that can tap and store the energy from the sun, and they can be used for a wide variety of activities that we undertake in our daily lives. Some of these activities are cooking, bathing, using electricity to switch on lights, fans etc. All these problems have been solved, as now there are solar pressure cookers, solar water heaters, solar cells, reflectors etc on highways and streets where there is insufficient lighting.

Wind energy is tapped by the building of windmills. Windmills are mainly built in those areas where there is ample free and wide-open space where there is a lot of wind force. These open spaces can be fertile as well as arid, thus any open space can be used to build a windmill. The turbines on the windmill are turned due to the force of the current of air, and these turbines in turn rotate the inbuilt generator, thus generating power.

These sources of generating power should be highly made use of as the future prospects are booming and with this, the lack of power in many of the rural areas can be dealt with and this too at a very reasonable and environment friendly way.
