Solar Radiation Energy

The radiation from the sun is called the solar radiation energy. The solar radiation energy is becoming more of a hot topic for discussion as this could be used in a zillion ways looking at the influence it has on all the living beings. But before we go ahead with the solar radiation energy we should know a little more about the solar radiation to start with.

The radiations from the sun could be divided into two parts. One the short waves which are visible and the second half would be the near infrared part. The former would a slice of the electromagnetic spectrum and the latter would be a part of the ultra violet bit of the spectrum. The latter half when is not absorbed by the atmosphere and reaches the surface of the earth causes sunburns and suntans. This is why we have endless sunscreen lotions to save us from the ultra violet radiation from the sun.

The solar radiation energy could be more simplified and understood as the solar energy. The term solar energy could be used as a synonym for solar radiation energy. This way this could be understood better. Today we have technology which can trap the solar radiation from the sun and covert into a source of energy. As the sun is everywhere and there is no limitation of availability of solar radiation from the sun, the solar radiation energy becomes the renewable and easily available energy source.

The only concern of using the solar radiation energy from the sun is the technology. Currently the technology that we have is highly focused to support only the fossil fuels. The same technology can’t support the solar radiation energy or the other renewable resources of energy and thus, an entire transition of technology is required. This needless to say, is not the easiest thing to do, even for those who understand the overall repercussions like global warming and exhaustion of fossil fuels.

The clouds around shifting to the technology which can support renewable energy like the solar radiation energy is making it difficult for people to hop and take advantage of the same ASAP. Though, the use of solar radiation energy would not only save the environment and cut the use of fossil fuels but at the same time, the immediate benefit would be the cuts in the energy bills.

With the endless promotions and renewable energy use initiatives people have started using the solar radiation energy but we have a long way to go before we can be in a comfortable position.
