Wind Energy Production

 

 

Wind power has been in use since for about five thousand five hundred years. Wind energy also called as wind power is basically the process of obtaining energy by converting the wind’s strength and energy; they can also be converted into electricity too. This can be done with the usage of different machinery like the wind turbines, which are used, for the production of the electricity while windmills are used in the mechanical power production. The wind pump is the machinery, which is used exclusively for the pumping of water to the top out from the ground; this mechanism is being used in the propping up of the sails in ships and the boat. Power and energy are very much needed in this techno savvy world, the production of these powers and energy is also very much necessary for the usage not only in it, but also in many other processes. There are like huge windmill farms, which are in networks, which is interconnected, these wind farms aim at producing power in a huge amount like in gig watts. There are also many small farms, which provide electricity for only a particular region or a place, like the mountain regions and villages. Wind energy is a very good substitute for other energy process, which is not desirable like the burning up of the fossil fuels.  

Wind power was first used for the sake of erecting the sails of boats, like in the wind pump mechanism. Later on as many experiments and other such things were conducted the electronic or the energy producing usage of the wind mills were discovered and came into use during the early eighteenth century. The strength of the wind and the wind blowing varies from place to place; hence, the production of the energy will also not be the same in all the places. There will be either a small or large differences in the energy production from place to place. First of all the energy of the wind is not directly converted into electricity or anything but into kinetic energy after which depending upon their usage they are used for various purposes. The wind turbines which convert the kinetic energy obtained into electric energy are called the wind generator, wind power unit, wind energy converter, etc. Even in those places where the strength of the wind is less, the blades of the wind turbines are built in such a way that they cut through the air and there by producing, air currents and obtain energy from those air currents.
