However, even if you notice the situation would not be very much different from using oil or gas as fuel (which is unlikely by the way), you still need to make the change because the planet and the environment will certainly benefit from your choice. So it’s worth choosing the alternative fuel conversion even if it is just about the environment and showing that you are contributing the global warming problem’s solution.

Other steps which you need to think of are contacting the manufacturer of the vehicle you are driving. It does not matter how old your car is, you can always free to contact the manufacturer as they are obliged to give you thorough information about whether it is possible to make the change (the practice shows it is always possible but it would still be better if you asked). And of course contacting a professional mechanic (not from the vehicle’s manufacturer) is also a good idea because they will give you objective information about all risks and benefits which you will gain after the alternative fuel conversion is completed.
