Hydrogen Furnace

Most of you probably only have heard of what a hydrogen furnace is but it is doubtful that many have seen one. However, it is not difficult to think of the possibility that it would be pretty much like the furnaces you know and have seen but the difference will be about the fuel used. Most of the furnaces use gas as fuel but ‘surprisingly’, the hydrogen furnace uses the hydrogen as a source of power and energy for heating.

But does the furnace using hydrogen as fuel give any advantages over the others? Well it certainly does! You might have heard about the hydrogen cell vehicles which have many advantages over the others. So the same advantages are pretty much valid for the hydrogen furnace also.

First of all, hydrogen is nothing but a chemical element which is spread on the Earth more than any other: it is in the air, it is in the water molecule, it is literally everywhere! So there will be no worries that we will run out of hydrogen one day because that just cannot happen. It really feels good know that you are using which will be here forever although ‘forever’ is kind of a big word and those kind of words should not be used too often.

Another great advantage of the hydrogen furnace is the efficiency. Hydrogen is far more efficient than the other alternatives such as natural gas or diesel for example. You need to know that a liter of hydrogen provides nearly three times more energy than gas and more than four times more energy than diesel. It sounds really impressive, don’t you think so? And that also means a hydrogen furnace will be heating much faster and much more efficiently also.

And the last thing which needs to be discussed is the price. What people usually think is that each product having so many advantages is too expensive and unaffordable. However, what you need to know is that the furnaces using hydrogen as fuel are not at all as expensive as you are probably thinking. Yes, it is true that their price is a bit higher than the price of the other alternatives (like the furnaces using natural gas as a source of energy, for example) but it is still a great value for money. Yes, it is worth spending a bit more on a hydrogen furnace because that could be looked as an investment.
