Hydrogen Isotopes
Hydrogen isotopes have become increasingly important to us recently thanks to developments in the field of science. We can now see that Hydrogen isotopes help in the development of hydrogen in cars. What they do is they go into cars and the hydrogen combusts in the internal combustion engine or whatever type of equipment you’re using and from then the hydrogen is used to power the car. Ok now stop reading there, does that sound weird? It should, because as of now we only have a couple of ways to power cars, through use of gas and through use of electricity. Hydrogen isotopes are not one of the ways that we are currently aware of for how to power our cars, so why did I mention that? Well, the simple answer is that they are used to power vehicles but not used solely to power vehicles. Hydrogen cannot power a vehicle by itself because it burns far too fast and too hot. The speed and the heat caused from this reaction cause the car to burst forward in small spurts but we cannot really use it to continuously power a vehicle. It does seem a promising field of study though, so we still have people working on how to power these cars, but what we really need to do is work on finding out a way to use it now. We of course cannot do that entirely now, so what we are doing is we are using the methods we have available to us.
Studies show that when you put oil in a car and it is burned up in order to power the car forward, the oil is not all used by the car. Because of complications with the oil burning too fast or with the car not collecting the gas fast enough to use it, almost twenty percent of the oil you put in your car has no effect and is simply burned up and thrown into the atmosphere. When the addition of hydrogen to the fuel tank or fuel source of the car, we have the ability to make sure that the fuel will burn more quickly and will burn more correctly this making it so that the car gets perfect gas mileage. We would not be able to accomplish this feat without hydrogen isotopes because these are the gases that help make sure the other gases are functioning properly. How else could we keep control really?
