Gold mines are an integral part of the gold processing. The production of gold is solely determined by the gold mining sites and there are several factors that are important for the enhancing of the total production of gold. The identification of a mine site should consider the aspect of supply in the mine site and these supplies are not limited to deliveries of mining equipments, food and water.

 

Before a mining company sets to set up a mine they should first address issues of social amenities for the effective running of the mine. The company should set mines that have easy access through natural road systems or simply the company must be ready and set funds aside to make route for easier access to the main. The issue of supply is very important at a mine - supplies like food and water are products that people can not go without. It should be noted that rarely will a mining company issue food to its workforce. Food will be available in the mining camps through independent business people who have indentified this to be a problem. However, good road systems are a component a mining company can not do without. A good road system will also ensure that minerals are transported from the site to the processing department and this will also ensure that unwanted waste and excavated land mass will find its way out of the mine.

 

It is impossible for a mine to work without proper transport system. Fresh food supplies should also be delivered to the mining site and this will ensure health and fitness for the taskforce - without that a mine site is impossible to run with frail workforce.

Many mines will spur some sort of economic growth in the near vicinity of the mine. This economic growth may form some sort of a town and this is common in the history - with the gold rush eras, towns sprouted as a result of these. These towns promoted the aspect of easy access of supplies in the mine. It is also common for these towns to still develop in these modern times.

 

However planning of sources and ways in which supplies should reach a mine site should be addressed as at the initial stages of forming the site. It is the sole responsibility of the mining company to plan ahead on issues relating to supplies - a company should be able to go out of its way financially to ensure that important supplies get to the mines.
