South Africa is globally known to be a very in demand exporter of all minerals and therefore is absolutely vital to the world's economy. Having such an important role within the global economy is extremely demanding and that is why South Africa finds them selves leading in the mining industry. However, today South Africa has pushed even farther. Their industries are not only focused on mining minerals, but refining them as well. Meaning products are available raw and semi-finished. Hence, due to the modernisation of mining industries, all sales have the potential to increase and more options are available for all consumers. The South African economy can only blossom under such profits and hard work. South Africa succeeds due to its hardworking industries. All these industries are divided into three categories.

The first category is called the Coal Companies of South Africa. The focused mineral of this category is quite self explanatory. This category has industries that focus primarily on coal. The second category is called the Gold Mining Companies of South Africa. The focused mineral of this category is once again self explanatory. This category has industries that focus on extracting gold, which is an in demand mineral. This category has three gold mining industries. Under this category there are three companies. The three companies are AngloGold Ashanti, Gold Fields, and Harmony Gold Mining.

The third category is called the De Beers. This major industry splits into two separate sub industries; Oppenheimer Family Industries and Randlords Industries. Both industries strictly focus on diamond and extracting. The Oppenheimer Family Industries has five companies. The Randlords Industries has eighteen companies. Both industries are extremely successful and date back to years of history and hard work.

South Africa flourishes the entire global economy and is extremely vital. Recently, due to modernisation of all industries the industries are earning even more profit. The machinery may be modernised however the workers are hard at work and strive to raise the prestige of South African mining industries.
