Abrams Industries Financial

Abrams Industries Financial is a U.S. company based in Atlanta, Georgia that is involved in several different industries. The company's activities are divided into commercial construction, real estate, and new energy management. In areas of construction, Abrams Industries Financial is involved in new construction projects, expansions, retail and shopping centers, distribution centers, and other commercial structures. In real estate, the company is involved in commercial properties all along the Southeast and Midwest sections of the U.S. For their division of energy management, Abrams Industries assists clients in methods to reduce their energy consumption and lower the costs of utility operations. This includes setting up energy infrastructures and research into energy solutions.

Abrams Industries Financial concentrated mostly on construction and real estate. Their construction division did well throughout the 1980's and 90's. However, it was their real estate division that suffered during this time due to focusing too much on one client. They later recovered by diversifying with a wider client base. In the late 1990's, under the direction of new CEO Alan Abrams, Abrams Industries Financial bought up other companies that specialized in energy efficiency and building management.

Abrams Industries Financial bought up the facilities management company Servidyne and later Wheatstone Energy Group. Wheatstone was a company that designed buildings that were more energy-efficient. In July, 2006, Abrams changed their name to Servidyne, Inc. By adopting a new name, the old Abrams company was able to merge all of their divisions under one brand name. In 2006, Servidyne was the winner of the Energy Star Partner of the Year award for the sixth consecutive year in a row.

As Servidyne, Inc, the new company has become one of the leaders in energy conservation for businesses. They provide engineering, management, infrastructure upgrades, and facility management services to a wide number of clients. It also provides energy efficient products and environmental solutions. Servidyne, Inc. is listed on the NASDAQ and operates in the United States and in international areas. One of their recent projects was the development of a $3.1 million renovation project on the U.S. naval base in Guam to make it more energy efficient.
