Aluminum Irrigation Pipe
Aluminum is becoming increasingly popular due to re-usability and cheap production costs. It is used in homes, industries and even farms. The aluminum irrigation pipe is responsible for carrying large loads for water to entire crops. The reason these pipes are preferred is mainly due to the cost. Farmlands are large and require a considerable amount of piping to ensure that the whole farm is watered. Therefore steel and copper cannot be used due to the rising costs of the raw materials. Aluminum however is cheap and found practically anywhere for an affordable price. Irrigation pipes require junctions to pass water onto other segments of the crop. Therefore irrigations pipes have junctions inbuilt at frequent intervals. The junctions allow connection to other watering lines. There are several benefits to using aluminum besides cost. Aluminum is extremely resistant to chemicals and corrosion therefore unlike steel or copper it will rust or corrode over time. Aluminum can also be painted in a wide array of colors. This can help mask the irrigation system among the foliage.
A variety of different accessories can be bought to help increase the spray of water from the pipes. Aluminum irrigation pipe are also being used in energy conservation farms. Aluminum pipes can be made of 100% recycled aluminum and is therefore considered environmental friendly. The water carrying efficiency along an irrigation line is much more efficient due to the perforations within the aluminum pipe, unlike steel pipes which release water at set intervals. Aluminum pipes can be found at diameters of 6,8,10 and 12 inches. Pricing will vary depending on region of order. Due to the easy installation of aluminum there is no need for outside assistance. Land owners themselves can begin installing the piping system.
The male end of the aluminum pipe is reinforced to prevent ruptures due to high water pressure. This is beneficial in case of leaks and damage. Couplings and Hastings can be used to increase the water pressure. Therefore the water flow can be controlled in an aluminum irrigation pipe. Altering the spray direction is also possible with the right angle of coupling. Addition security against leaks and ruptures is prevented by lock plates and lock rings. These regions prevent excess buildup of pressure. Other accessories and improvements such as elbows, reducers and end tee-connections can be used to increase the efficiency and distance of the water spray.
