Aluminum Box
Aluminum boxes have wide array of applications. These boxes can be used to house tools, storing electrical cables and to protect wiring. Aluminum boxes are created from a box shaped die. This is accomplished via the hot extrusion process by which extruded aluminum is created. These boxes are the easiest shape to create using die casts. Aluminum boxes are manufactured faster than any other aluminum or metal product. The main purpose of aluminum boxing is to securely ground unsafe electrical connections in homes and industries. Grounding ensures that all excess electrical discharge from an appliance or wire is passed into the ground. An aluminum box can be secured to regions where no moisture or air can seep into a circuit system. The box itself is sealed and air tight. Mountings can be added and used to secure it.
A secondary use for the aluminum box is its role as a heat sink. Aluminum has a high affinity for heat and can absorb large amounts of heat before deforming or melting. Therefore it is an ideal heat sink. Aluminum has a high conductance rate and is immune to electromagnetism. It is also considerably lighter than steel or copper and can be easily produced at half the cost of the metals. Motor vehicles use a large number of aluminum boxes to house delicate components within the engine. This help to reduce the engines heat by passing through to the radiator. Computer components such as hard drives are generally housed within aluminum boxes.
The advantage aluminum has over plastic is that it can handle a considerable amount of heat and electricity unlike plastic boxes and housing. Aluminum is longer lasting and far more durable with regards to stress and strain. An aluminum box is compatible with aluminum wiring which is becoming more common in today’s world. Plastic will not conduct electricity hence plastic housing cannot be used as grounding devices. Aluminum die casting can be purchased from die suppliers and manufacturers. Aluminum extruding companies may have pre ordered or pre-set die moulds. An aluminum box can be coated with a finish to blend in with the environment it will be applied to. A coating can be applied to aluminum as it does not react in anyway or form. Many offices, homes and industries now use aluminum housing to house wiring and cables. Aluminum housing can be used to shelter phone junctions as well.
