Exxonmobil
ExxonMobil is an American gas, and oil company. It became a company in late 1999 when two oil companies merged into one. Exxon and Mobil. The company descended from the former Standard Oil company founded by John D Rockefeller. The merger of Exxon and Mobil to form ExxonMobil mad it the largest publicly traded stock in the entire world. The home office is located in Irving TX but operates in 21 countries, and has 38 oil refineries. Although ExxonMobil is the largest of all the oil companies it still only makes up 3 percent of the oil production. Mainly because of many State owned oil companies, and refineries.
Employment opportunities at ExxonMobil are very diverse. They attempt to hire the best potential employees who are encouraged to strive to be the best, and are encouraged to think independently, and to be innovative. Working for ExxonMobil is about producing oil and fuel, but its also a great way to gain knowledge and learning. Exxon Mobil has a development program for new hires, as well as people who want to grow, and explore other possibilities in their employment.
Working at Economic can be at any level. They are the largest of the six Super major oil companies, which means they are a total oil company. They do the exploration, production, refine the oil, market it, transport it, and sell it to the service stations. Jobs are at every level, form unskilled workers, to the highly educated scientist who work in the labs. In 2008 ExxonMobil had approximately 80000 employees. of which around 37 percent were located in the USA, and the remaining percentage were international positions. ExxonMobil has around 3600 management and professional positions to date, almost 40 percent were women, almost 70 percent were hired internationally.
In the next 25 years the demand for more power, and energy is predicated to increase 50 percent. This may make choosing a career in the oil industry a wise choice. They offer a job search area, and you can research and apply for positions not only in the country, but also internationally. They are positions at every level, both professional, and non professional positions. They have a great training program for new Geoscientists as well.
