The reason that these are so highly favored amongst welders is because aluminum is much a malleable material, because aluminum can almost be bent without the need of applying heat at all. Aluminum is good like that and can conform to all kinds of pressures. But once pressure is applied to the aluminum and once heat is applied it becomes very easy to mold and to change. This is easier to do with aluminum than it is with most other metals, and it is best because the final product will still be strong unlike other metals with lower melting points that will just crumble under pressure like nothing was done to them. You need to find a good balance when welding that will allow you to mold the available material into something useful and that will allow the finished product to be really strong even after all of the stuff has been done to it. You need something that will hold up to the test of time and also be easy to weld for you without the use of special technology and the best thing for you to use here would be aluminum welding rods.
