Extruded aluminum has a higher tensile strength than other aluminum alloys. This is due to the rearrangement of the microstructure. Additional properties such as higher tensile strength and increased elasticity can be added to the alloy. Extruded aluminum is large part of the aluminum market. This is due to the high demand for extruded aluminum in the construction sector. Extruded aluminum can be customized much easier than steel and its alloys. Aluminum pipes of a customized cross section and length can be purchased for household piping and support. Aluminum has been popular due to its resistant nature. Corrosive elements within the atmosphere cannot alter the shape or layering of the pipe. Extruded aluminum is a cheaper alternative to steel alternatives and copper beams.
