T slot aluminum is a special type of aluminum extrusion that is used for many different types of construction. You can use t slot aluminum to do all kinds of things around the house but it is a specific type of extrusion.

However, you might not want to do anything like upgrade to t slot for no reason. In fact there is no such thing as upgrade when it comes to this type of thing; all you really need to do is keep going with what you’ve got. It is simply a different style and contrary to popular opinion, coming from someone with years of experience in the business, the difference is really just personal preference. It makes no sense to switch to these other kinds of methods of slotting if they are all the same. So the best thing to do is just go with the material that is already being used. If you are building something from scratch then just take a vote along with the other people that will be building with you. Whatever everyone else is happiest with will help you get the job done faster because T slot aluminum bares no difference to the other types of slotted aluminum. The only real benefit I can see is that the aluminum is molded perfectly for the parts to be put together so if you’re good at cutting in straight lines you can afford to be less precise with your cutting in the future.
