China Coal Price

The China coal price is generally much cheaper than the American coal price. This is of course because China has more coal mines than America. This is understandable given that China has a larger land mass than most countries and also has a greater population. It is only natural that they might be able to discover more coal in a faster period of time. This price is something that is taken advantage of in most cases, but they don’t export all of their coal so nobody can really take full advantage of the china coal price. Most nations need to purchase their coal from a variety of places including on their home base country and from a combination of Australia, the United States, or New Zealand if they are trying to get a-hold of coking coal. Much like other things in china, the china coal price is exceptionally low. Other things in china are priced low because of the fact that people can be charged very low prices to do the work necessary in order to make the product. In this case coal can’t really be made, but it is produced. It is likely that people are paid the same wages in order to mine and produce the coal.

This may mean that we are able to get coal at cheaper prices today, but this is foolish because the cheaper coal is being produced there, the faster it has to be made in order to still make a profit. So though coal may be cheaper coming from there, it is only like this monetarily. Coal is being mined at such a fast rate that soon all the coal in china will be gone and they just like everyone else, will be reduced to having to find alternative energy sources in a very short time limit. This could be prevented if they ceased the rapid farming of coal and agreed to charge greater prices. Sure they might not make as much money as they could but it would help to stave off the imminent crisis that is sure to come for a little bit longer. This is really the only option we have open to us as if we keep going at this rate, especially at the rate china is going, we are going to burn up all of our natural resources in no time and have nothing left. This would not be an economically sound decision as they would not be able to continue their coal industry at all anymore, nor would it be an environmentally or scientifically sound one yet, as we have no protection from the damage done by fossil fuels and no alternative to them when they’re all used up.
