Coal Handling Plant
If you want to know what happens to coal once it is extracted from its source in an underground or above ground deposit, the first place you should probably think of is a coal handling plant. This is the place where the coal is taken directly from the mines to be washed and cleansed of extraneous soil and other kinds of contaminants. This is where coal is essentially purified. You might ask why a coal handling plant even matters. But when coal comes from the mine, it is filled with rocks and soil. If you attempt to use this coal as you would use purified coal, you’d see that this mixture would be a lot less potent because of the extraneous materials. In addition to that, if you paid for this, the same price that you paid for purified coal, you’d be completely justified in being angry about this. Coal is taken to a coal handling plant, also known as a coal processing plant, for both safety reasons and economical reasons. Nobody wants to buy coal that is rife with other elements. If paying by the pound that means for every pound of coal they get, they’ll be getting another pound of useless rock and soil that they haven’t separated, thereby at the end of a large purchase, effectively paying tons of money for 50 pounds of dirt.
Since nobody wants to buy dirt at such expensive prices, and not everyone has the technical knowledge to take apart coal and synthesize only the good parts into items they need, this is why these pants are needed. They’re incredibly efficient and help to facilitate the swift passage of coal directly into the market place for purchase. This is the step before the market, as long as you aren’t counting sales and unless they get the coal directly from the source itself, whenever anyone orders a bog or two of coal, it has most assuredly gone through one of these plantations before. If this does not prove the usefulness of the coal handling plant then it should also be known that the coal handling plants help to shape and refine coal into usable forms. They don’t all come in pretty little nuggets or blocks when they find them in the mine, it is an element that must be processed and shaped with the interference of others and not something that you can just let happen on its own. This is the importance of these types of plants and the very real effects they have on our coal market and our purchases.
