Coal Mining Process
The coal mining process can be seen in several ways because there is more than one way to go about coal mining. There is the process simply known as mining or the process that most people see when someone tells them to picture the phrase “mining” and this is when people actually hollow out mountains and make networks of tunnels spanning through areas in order to get to the precious ores or material that needs to be mined on the inside. This is the most standard and oldest form of mining and it is still the one people traditionally think of today. In fact, not necessarily for coal mining, but in other types of mine based industries, this is the only way to mine. Mining for natural gases, you can’t simply tear away at walls and hope the gas will still come to you, you need special agents to go there and specifically extract the veins of the natural gas that you’re trying to obtain and this is what needs to be performed in order to get the correct result. As I said, for some types of mining, this is literally the only way to go in order to get what is needed.
As far as mining coal is concerned though, there are a few more things that can be done in the coal mining process in order to get the right amount of coal that is needed. The next most popular way of mining that is actually the most popularly used but not most popularly thought of form of mining is called surface mining. This came about only recently with the invention of large power machines that are able to strip away at walls of rocks. But this is basically the process of tearing away at walls until the coal just falls out. This is tearing away at walls from the outside of the mine using machines. A lot of rock will inevitably come with the coal when this method is employed, but this is sometimes considered more efficient as you can sort out the rock later and you don’t have to worry about people getting injured or put into dangerous situations by going down into the bottom of a network of tunnels. The coal mining process is going to be a complicated one n matter which way you go about it and will always be complicated, but this is something that must be done and so it is something that must also be accepted.
