Concrete Floor Stain
When you have something as serious as a concrete floor stain you may be worried thinking abut what you can possibly do to get it cleared up. There are a few things you can do, but most of these involve using industrial grade chemicals. You’d be lucky if it only took you a year to get out a concrete floor stain by simply brushing at it with a toothbrush and some soap. These stains can be serious and it is important to know what will have caused them in the first place. You need to be able to check and see what it was. If you do not know, then you can move right on to the traditional chemicals. If you do know what caused the concrete floor stain though you might want to check and see if there are any solvents around that will get that specific chemical out of something. Now traditionally things that can cause a concrete floor stain are going to be really heavy duty, and non-standard chemicals. This is why it might be a good idea to do a google search and see if there are any solvents which are known to get rid of these types of blemishes specifically. You may be able to save yourself some money by going about it like this. If this does not work or you are unable to find a chemical that reacts against the one you used, then it is time to get down to the standard chemicals.
The best chemicals for the job are likely going to be bleach or muriatic acid. This needs to be industrial grade bleach though and you need to know what you are doing when you apply it or else you are going to be handling a lot more than you thought you would have to. This is because bleach can also cause staining in and of it. This is why you need to keep an extra eye on how you are bleaching the stain and if you are adding too much or if you are adding it for too long then you need to be able to brush it off or throw water on it to dilute it quickly. The same goes for muriatic acid, but the problem with this acid is that it will eat away at the entire patch of concrete if you leave it on for too long. If you don’t know what you are doing, the best option would be to let a professional handle it though.
