Copper Awning
While a copper awning is certainly an untraditional form of awning, it is just as good as the other metal counterparts. Most awnings you will find will be made of aluminum or steel or something like that, but not copper. A copper awning is generally a rarity because copper is seen as a very malleable metal. It is not something that most people will think of as hard and durable. And since an awning is supposed to be a secondary cover or a type of roof, people want really good coverage. Another reason why it might be hard to find a copper awning anywhere is because of just how much copper it would take in order to make one of those things. It would take quite a bit of copper. This is because of the large size of every awning out there on the market or out there that is just built by some hobbyist. They need to make sure that it gets the most coverage possible from the wind and weather while still remaining strong. However copper is one of the rarer metals today now that we have used it all up in pennies and other useless things that don’t really need the use of copper and we are wishing that all that copper had not been wasted on pennies. The sad reality of it is, you could probably get more money for trading pennies in at a salvage yard for the weight of the pennies than you could for trading them in at a bank. In other words you could trade in a dollars worth of pennies at a bank for them to put a dollar in your account, or you could trade in a dollars worth of pennies at a salvage yard and maybe get a dollar and one cent or something like that. This metal is becoming worth a lot of money and people don’t want to spend this precious metal and what little we have left of it on building awnings or other copper supplies simply because they could just as easily be made out of something that is less expensive, less rare, and that would also just be stronger and more able to handle the job in general. They don’t want to have to worry constantly about whether their construction job is going to be able to hold together or not. They just want to be able to get the thing made fast and put into use fast and they don’t care if it is made out of copper or not.
