Copper Nails
Copper nails are an item of which the usage has lately been decreasing dramatically. This is mostly due to the fact that we have found there are more practical uses for copper than things like nails and other random tools. See the copper that would be used in a nail and just sitting there in that nail forever, wherever the owner of the nail chose to nail it in, that copper could have been used on something more important like electronics. Assuming a roof was nailed together with copper nails, all of the copper used for these nails, if pooled together would be enough to power several personal computers and in this computer age, physical labor is becoming less and less useful now that we have machines to do everything for us. For this reason we need to focus on developing our electronics and making sure all of that is in line before we go wasting precious resources on copper nails. Strictly speaking, copper nails aren’t bad, it just makes a lot of people angry seeing this precious material, copper, going into something as unimportant as house repair. Not that keeping the roof on a house is an unimportant task, but it cannot go without saying that the copper could be put to better use somewhere else. Copper is an especially ductile material meaning it is very conducive to heat and electricity. If not being used for one of these purposes, its properties are essentially going to waste.
As far as nails are concerned, they could be so easily substituted for some other metal like steel. Steel is even arguably more suitable for situations like this anyway since it is shown to be more durable than copper, and the malleability of copper isn’t exactly a desirable quality in building projects. This is why it is important not to use things like copper nails. If you see them anywhere, make sure to either take them and send them to refineries (this will profit the collective copper needing community all around you as well as profiting you directly at the same time since you will be paid for it) or make sure to save them and send them to someone that will know what to do with them since they would go to waste if used in anything that was not dedicated towards using the properties of the metal to their fullest. We must be able to do this or suffer the consequences of copper depletion soon to come.
