Renewable Energy Development 

Almost all experts agree that we need to do something about our environment.  The environment is being threatened by global warming, CO2 emissions, intensive farming, and deforestation, are among the top threats.  It is now time for everyone to attempt to make changes to make sure that out future generations have feasible places to live. 

CO2 levels have dramatically increases over the past years due to the removal of a large amount of trees from the Amazon rainforest.  Because we have allowed the removal of these trees, that absorb a large amount of gases, there is now an imbalance causing problems that encompass the entire world.  This imbalance has led to the research and development of alternative energy sources.  The government and larger corporations have invested heavily in this environmental issue, showing how important the matter really is.   

Wind power is one of the most significant factors that will help save our environment.  Windmills create efficient, clean, and cheap energy; they have also been a visible means of gathering energy from nature.  Wind turbines have been installed all over the world and are a familiar site these days.  People are now using wind turbines to generate their electricity for their homes.  Wind turbines installed directly on your roof or on a mast provide cheaper energy than electricity suppliers can present. 

Solar energy is a better-known energy source that gathers power from the sun.  Photovoltaic panels used to gather the sun’s energy and then can heat water or run your electrical appliances.   

The production of renewable energy created from 18 percent of renewable energy sources worldwide.  Federal, state, and local governments offer grants and funds to consumers and businesses that convert to renewable energy.   

Renewable energy has exploded into a viable investment, and because of this there are training programs available for people to train in wind and solar power training for the construction of wind turbines and the installation of solar panels.  There are grants available to assist in the cost of getting this training.  Homeowners who want to can apply for the grants to make their home power source more efficient.   

Congress is considering legislation to give grants to educational agencies so that they will develop programs with studies focusing on renewable energy.  California received a grant of $1 million dollars to develop programs with studies focusing on plasma gasification and solar forecasting.   Renewable energy has made going green easier than ever.
