Renewable energy is a boon for the mankind; it is this type of renewable energy that keeps the world running alive today. Renewable energy can be used more effectively if the technology is developed accordingly. Renewable energy resources are used by the government and big companies; there are many organizations that promote the usage of renewable energy and support the research related to the technology.

The main sources of renewable energy are the sun, wind, water and there are other sources which are in one way or the other connected to the main sources of renewable energy. Biomass is one such energy source; it derives its energy from the sun. Today’s world is in need of technology to use the renewable energy and invent products that can use this renewable energy instead of the non-renewable energy. Many organizations and funds appreciate and support the technology based on developing mechanism or appliances that would contribute to the growth of the development of renewable energy.

Some of the other renewable energy sources are geothermal energy and ocean energy; they are upcoming renewable energy sources that need more development. Water is said to be used as a major renewable energy, it contributes more energy among the renewable energy types. Water is used as a source to obtain electricity, and hence it is the renewable energy source that contributes more energy.

Research experts in all the parts of the world are looking for a breakthrough in the field of developing technology for renewable energy, some of the efforts such scientists have brought the technology of using biological components to produce fuel such as biofuel, biomass, biogas. Some of these compounds can be used as an additive with the normal fuel that is used in machines or automobiles.

In most cases the capital cost or the investment that is needed to set up a plant to produce, develop or recycle the renewable energy source is very high. But once the initial set up is done then the plant yields profit for a long time, bio fuel powered automobiles are available in a limited number. There are governments which run public transport with the use of such biofuel or biogas. However it is believed that the availability of this biofuel is lass when compared to the normal gasoline. Governments and private companies are working towards improving the reliability and availability of biofuels and other type of renewable energy sources and the issues related to it.
