One of the fastest growing energy sources in today’s world is wind energy. One of the biggest advantages of wind energy is that it is clean source of power and hence there is no air pollution. Wind energy depends on the renewable resource which can never end, thereby being the lowest priced source of renewable energy. A country like US has wind in abundance; hence usage of wind energy could definitely reduce its dependency on foreign countries for oil.

Wind energy could be accumulated in any kind of climate and it could also help utilize the land in these windy areas which otherwise would be not be fit to live in. Building a windmill is easy and can be constructed in any size as per the specific space. A windmill supplies are a very small quantity of power and hence can’t be utilized as the main source of power. If energy is required in larger amounts then a wind turbine has to be used. A wind turbine could be utilized in windy climates to gather wind energy but the only drawback is that wind turbines are larger in size and therefore require a bigger area for construction.

Energy from wind power is basically generated like electricity. This electricity is derived by harnessing all the force derived by wind’s gusts. Whilst windmills are one of the energy sources, nowadays they are considered historic due to the developed wind turbines which generate much more energy comparatively.

Concerns: The only concern in using wind for generation of electricity is their negative impact on the wild bird’s population. Secondly the visual effect on the area where they are constructed particularly in the tourist areas.
