Dynatec

Dynatec is a mining technology company, headquartered in Richmond Hill Ontario Canada. The company began in 1980 and is currently operating internationally, in drilling and mining operations. Two of their main interests are coal-bed methane, and nickel mining. In 1997 Dynatec was sold to Sherritt International. In addition the mining service division was purchased by FNX Mining, and is still in operation to this day.

FNX mining is a diverse mining company which explores, and develops many types of minerals The main minerals of interest are gold, cobalt, copper, platinum, and palladium. FNX currently employs approximately 675 people in their mining area plus an additional 300 contract workers. In 2007 they expended 235 million dollars in compensation and pay for employees.

FNX mining strives to commit to not compromising the environment. They believe in utilizing the mineral collected but not compromising the opportunities of the future. Safety for the employees is always a priority. Environment protection is always part of their operation as well..

FNX ( Dynatec) is a full service mining operation, offering mining contract services in every area of mining. Engineering and estimating mineral reserves is generally the first thing needed in mining exploration. Civil construction is another area that FNX mining is involved in, and provides expertise. In recent times, they have designed and excavated a mini hydro electric tunnel and a fresh water reservoir, and collecting system.
