Helical Wind Turbine

There are many different designs you can choose from when you are looking for different kinds of turbines in order to generate electricity from wind power and most of the time to be quite honest, the exact design does not matter. They all really are designed to do the same thing. Some do the job a little bit better than others, and therefore those are a little pricier, but you can always tell which ones are the best and which ones are the worst in terms of price. With this kind of thing, if it is more expensive, it usually means its better, but this only works in between categories. For example if you see a helical wind turbine that is more expensive than a standard style one then this does not necessarily mean it is better. A helical wind turbine is generally harder to make than a standard one just because of all the formation that it takes in order to create one. That would be one slow assembly line. Because so much care is taken in crafting them, it takes longer, and thus they have to charge more, but that doesn’t necessarily make it better than any other one you might use. The idea behind the helical wind turbine that is supposed to make it better is that instead of blades it has entire sheets of plastic or whatever the material may be all wrapped around one another in the shape of a helix. This is supposed to be a better design because more air is trapped this way and is funneled down into it which makes it go even faster.

However in order to make it go faster it also has to be longer, and the speed that it is going at ends up only being proportional to how long every “blade” or blade substitute in this case, is. Since these blade substitutes have to be longer than normal, it ends up capping at a certain speed whereas the other types of turbines will manage to be able to go faster and faster for longer. This does not make it worse because it will still generate enormous amounts of electricity. But also will not make it any better, and for people that are more frugal in their purchases, this is an important distinction to make. You need to watch what you are producing and make sure not to pay for anything that will be more expensive but do the same thing as a cheaper version of the same thing. A helical wind turbine is not necessarily always the best choice.
