Wind Battery Charger

Some people choose not to use their wind turbine as a standard wind turbine but as more of a wind battery charger. This may actually be a better endeavor for everyone in the long run assuming you have enough devices that run on battery power in order to make a device with this ability useful. A wind battery charger may have many benefits that a normal wind turbine simply does not possess. This is because a wind battery charger can charge batteries that can be put in to very many devices at a later point, and even if you are not using a device at the moment, you can simply plug the batteries into it to charge overnight while you sleep. That way you will have free power in order to give it to the devices you need to have power to at a later point. The problem with a regular wind turbine and the reason that a wind battery charger may be better in some cases is that as soon as the wind drops, whatever device is plugged into your turbine stops working and you are immediately out of luck. Especially if you are in a place where wind constantly stops and starts up again, this can be downright infuriating. However if you are using a device that runs on battery power you should be able to plug in a battery to it to make it work and that would be enough to keep the battery charged. If the wind dies down, oh well, all that means is that you will have to wait a bit for the battery to continue charging, but if the battery stops a consistent charge it does not lose all of its power and have to start up again, it just means there is a momentary pause in the flow of current that you have to wait on before you can continue charging.

If you have a laptop with a precious document you are working on, say you are working on the next great American novel and it is plugged into a wind turbine with no battery. As soon as the wind dies down, your computer will shut down and you will lose all saved data. This is unacceptable to most but it is not something you will have to deal with if you just make use of a battery charger that is powered by the wind rather than a regular old turbine, and this is ideal for most people because there are no more worries.
