Wind Power Canada

Wind power Canada is a serious contender in the state of things as far as we are now and will soon hopefully be seen one day as a forerunner of the wind based power generator market. Because of America’s sheer amount of money and governmental backing combined with force of initiative, there already hundreds upon hundreds of wind turbines all over the state. There are enough in California to practically power entire cities based solely on the power of those turbines. Despite these odds though, it is likely that wind power Canada will one day catch up to the trend set by America and maybe even surpass it. This may sound like a crazy assertion, but the reasoning behind this is because of just how much wind is in Canada. The cold climate should be enough of an indicator of this, but Canada has a cold climate. This is obvious and this means that there is more wind. Therefore the more wind there is, the more unused power there is out there to be harnessed, and the more wind power harnessed, the more successful wind power Canada will one day be. It seriously has the power to one day be as strong as America in terms of how it is able to match the wind energy levels. As of now in America we use coal and wind energy disproportionally, but in a good way. It is known that only 40% of our national energy is provided by coal, and the other 60% by other sources, however it is unfortunately stated on a nationwide scale just how much of that 60% is wind energy. Some say that it is something like 22% and some postulate that it is closer to 50% but we are unsure.

What we are sure of is that one day Canada will reach this level too and it is important to recognize this. Canada should not be viewed as an adversary simply because they are trying to reach the same level as us though. It would generally be good for all countries to reach this level in order for us to be globally reliant on wind rather than coal. One day we will run out of coal and we have no backup plan except wind. It looks like Canada has finally caught onto this fact and is trying to put a plan in to effect to counteract this. Whether it succeeds or not it is good to encourage them for our global welfare.
